Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Outgoing person with excellent people and animal skills needed to assistant 2 female veterinarians in a small animal practice on the north side of town. Must have good computer skills. Duties to include: client education; animal restraint for routine examinations and medical proedures; collecting specimens for lab work; performing in-house labwork; taking and processing x-rays; preparing patients for surgery; assisting in surgery; walking, bathing and general nursing care of patients; maintaining lab equipment. Some receptionist work required at times. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits to include: $250 uniform allowance, discounts on veterinary care and products; off 6 major holidays (paid if scheduled to work on a holiday); after 90 day trial period, eligible for health care (partial to complete premium coverage), 2 paid sick days; after 1 year of employment, 40 hours paid vacation.
